Philadelphia Eagles Quarterback Michael Vick has made Eagles fans smack themselves for the second year in a row. As fans, we are painfully aware that the Eagles haven’t won anything yet. Even still, Vick had this to say:

“When I look at our football team and what we have on paper, I think about when I was growing up and the great San Francisco 49ers teams, the great Green Bay Packers teams, and the great Dallas Cowboys teams, how they just positioned themselves to compete and be one of the best teams out there. I think we have a chance to be that. I think we have a chance to develop a dynasty.”

I like a confident quarterback just as much as you do. I think our team is great and I think we have a chance to be something. I can say that. I can say that we can win a Super Bowl…even though we can’t with our current Safeties…and that is okay. It’s okay because I’m a fan…not our damn quarterback.

The Eagles have some problems all over the field. They might not be major problems and they might not be problems that will keep us out of the playoffs. However, we haven’t won anything year, and now we look silly.

The talk of a dynasty also shows me something else. We still haven’t grown up as a team. The Eagles are still immature and they still don’t know how to shut up and play. How many Packers players are saying this? Or New York Giants players? I didn’t think so.
