The Philadelphia Eagles sent shock waves through the NFL on Tuesday morning as the team announced they have fired defensive coordinator Juan Castillo after yet another disappointing fourth quarter collapse by the defense. Reports have stated that Castillo was asked to come into Andy Reid's office this morning where he then learned of his firing. He will not remain with the team in any capacity. The Eagles announced that Todd Bowles will be the new defensive coordinator for the Eagles.

Castillo has been with the organization for more than 15 years, where he was primarily the offensive line coach. After the firing of Sean McDermott after the 2010 season, Castillo was moved over to the defensive side of the ball to be the team's new coordinator.
