On Friday afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles announced that quarterback Michael Vick will not be playing this Sunday against the Washington Redskins due to a concussion he suffered last week against the Dallas Cowboys. Rookie quarterback Nick Foles will start in place of Vick.

At the beginning of the season, a matchup between Robert Griffin III and Vick seemed to be a fun matchup to watch. However, Vick has struggled this season with only 11 touchdown passes in nine games played so far. In addition, Vick has already been sacked more this season than last season and he has matched the number of fumbles from 2011.

Despite a 3-6 start to the season, there is still some excitement for this game. First, Griffin III is an exciting player to watch and this will be his first matchup against Philadelphia. In addition, Foles is making his first career start after subbing in for an injured Vick last week. Foles threw for 219 yards with one touchdown and one interception in his first professional game.
